Insanity = Normality
'Insanity = Normality' is the second full-length project released by Kane Train.
There are many themes and concepts concurrent throughout the album but mainly,
Kane continues to explore the theme of insanity through his own mental health. Most important of all, this project aim's to explore the contrast between the pros and cons of a disturbed mind and show that, the mentally ill become accustomed to the shackles of their own mind. They become used to their skewed perception of reality. Their insanity becomes their normality; hence the album title.
Kane explores these concepts through his dark, yet, goofy sense of humor on tracks such as All Aboard, Hallucinating, and Banana Juice alongside his serious, heavy, and intense tracks such as Not Safe, Feel No Love and Lord Help Me. The project is much larger than Kane's first project 'Suicide Note' and it totals a whopping 20 tracks and 68-minute overall playtime. The album is overall more comedic in nature than 'Suicide Note' whilst still retaining a lot of its intensity. The album can loosely be divided into 2 halves; The first half is more humorous, hardy, and aggressive, and the second is more serious, vulnerable, and emotional.
There are many metaphorical references to particular aspects and experiences of Kane's personal life in the lyrical content, album artwork, song titles, and artistic concept but, Kane has purposely decided to leave a lot of it down to the interpretation of the listener to derive meaning. Kane said it beautifully himself on the album "I speak in riddles a lot of the time on my tracks. Metaphors for the cause of what turned me into an insomniac". Can you solve the riddles? What do they mean to you?
However you interpret them, we are sure that you may find something of value with each listen and we are very excited to finally publish this project and for it to reach your eardrums.
